Since it's Friday, and Friday's are great days for listing things, I will be doing
plum_evil's bidding and linking to five things from my friends' list that I think you all might find interesting.
1. Alison Krauss and Union Station...Live: People from all sorts of music genres really love them. One of Union Station (Dan) was the singing voice of George Clooney in O Brother, Where Art Thou. Yeah, that song. Click on this link and check out the very first song, Let Me Touch You For Awhile. One of many that are just too fabulous for words.
2. Bluefly: I've yet to order any clothes from there, but just you wait and see. I will some day. Designer overruns at a fraction of the cost. Heck, sometimes there can be designer clothing for 85% off.
3. Concentration: Yes! A Match game! Wherein you can play and play for hours at trying to match up the dang cards and improving your scoring percentage. Believe me, I've become hooked on this. And, um, it has nothing to do with the fact that this is on a NASCAR driver's website. Yes, Harvick is pretty nice to look at, but DeLana, his wife, isn't.
4. Buttermilk Biscuits: Screw low carb. Buttermilk biscuits are fabulous and yummy. They make any meal better. Heck, they are a meal. Put some cheese in them, or make some sausage gravy to go with. Mmmm. Biscuits.
5. Mississippi Mud Cake: This is a chocolate lover's orgasm. This cake is so rich that it hurts (literally in my case since the inherited chocolate allergy decided to make an appearance whilst eating this cake). With a tall glass of milk, it is divine. This was my birthday cake every year from the time I was little. Screw the store stuff, I wanted my chocolate fix. The key to this recipe that makes it different from other Mississippi Mud recipes is the marshmallow creme (instead of the actual marshmallows...the cream works better) and the nuts and coconut, which are optional.
