Interviews

They're currently interviewing two separate people for a job here in the office. They're in the latter stages of interviewing. For scheduling, both are here right now.

Personally? Normally I would celebrate having another female in the office, especially one about my age. The other candidate is a really nice man in his 50s.

Based on initial impressions, I'm hoping they hire the man. Dear god, the female? Is so damn perky it hurts my teeth. And this is perky in a scary way. Like, Stepford Wife perky. Last time we had an employ like that, she was hired at the same time as me, we started the same day, and she hated my guts and made work hell. This female acts exactly like her. Now, I'm not going to judge and say the perky false facade will reveal another Jessica underneath, but the facade alone is grating enough.

Plus she wore a bright pink suit.

You know this is a sign.

The Adventure Of The Polar Bear

Lionel and Martha were out for a hot Valentine's walk on a hill. As they went, Martha rested her hand on Lionel's knee. It was the most romantic walk ever. But even though the day was so shiny, Lionel was filled with hard dread.

"Do you suppose it's magnificent here?" he asked magnificently.

"You luminscent silly," Martha said, tickling Lionel with her mouse. "It's completely Stupendous."

Just then, a pristine polar bear leapt out from behind a gun and kicked Martha in the nose. "Aaargh!" Martha screamed.

Things looked silky. But Lionel, although he was fussy, knew he had to save his love. He grabbed a lily and, like a sun going down over the verdant green fields of Kansas, beat the polar bear fluidly until it ran off. "That will teach you to kick innocent people."

Then he clasped Martha close. Martha was bleeding scruffily. "My darling," Lionel said, and pressed his lips to Martha's ear.

"I love you," Martha said loudly, and expired in Lionel's arms.

Lionel never loved again.
