NASCAR Programming Note

The Cup and Nationwide races at Richmond International Raceway have been postponed due to Hanna.

Cup 1:00 on Sunday (ESPN)

Nationwide 6:30 on Sunday

In lieu of cars going in circles, might I recommend the Truck race tomorrow afternoon on SPEED? Of note is Marc Davis in the Randy Moss truck. I will root for any team that gets Marc to drive. I love Marc. Marc's my boy. (Actually, if I'd gotten pregnant at 12, he could have been my boy.)

Holy crap! I really am technically old enough to be Marc's mom!

Ah, well. The day I start looking at drivers and realizing I'm old enough to be their grandmother, I'm gonna start to worry.

Sad thing is, I had a chance to go to this truck race, too, and turned it down because I knew I had expensive upcoming conferences. Which I wouldn't have had to go to if I'd known about the new job further in advance.

Aw maaaaan! You could have seen Marc in person and instead are going to some conference that actually has no bearing on your job now? *pets* It's taking away fun and then GIVING you boring in return.

I keep telling myself it'll still be good for my resume and it'll give me one last chance to see some friends in the profession I may not run into on a regular basis again, but I still spent all afternoon thinking "I could have been Truck racing!" Especially at the finish!
