Okay, maybe to stir *some* shit up.
But here's the deal. I live by some whacked as American ideal that rarely gets put into being, because people are people. But the deal is...
We're all equal. Everyone has rights as individuals. Everyone's voice counts equally. Maybe I'm naive, but my belief is, if as many people as possible can live this way, then we can make a difference through our actions.
Yeah yeah yeah. I'm sweet. I'm spouting wonderful platitudes.
And I'm about to go Bo Kent too. Which means mean ass daddy.
( The value of actually being proactive and reading things for yourself. )
( Fandom friendships and the nature of their evolution...from the Kryptonsite group perspective )
( Why people speak up in kerfluffles )
( My new kerfluffle rule )
And to take it all the way personal...I don't hold with targeting an individual. I don't care how many "friends" (because a friends list is such an arbitrary term) a person has, whether it's a thousand or five. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. I don't believe that fandom for the most part is bright enough or organized enough to actively go after each other (there are always isolated cases, like SockPuppetQueen or the Wolverine/Rogue FOX Faux Lawsuit drama). Usually that is spawned by one or two individuals who are unhinged as it is.
But fandom attitudes and constant declarations of "my needs must be met! no, mine!" for some reason permeate the atmosphere. The spoiler kerfluffle is a never ending one (it feels like), and the absolute attitudes have affected the entire fandom. Stop being greedy Americans (*shock, gasp, outrage*). Stop being so self-centered. Grow up and DEAL already.
And if I see one more person go after
tigress35 for anything approaching spoilers, then so help me god, I'm joining Fandom_Wank and suggesting there be a special community just for this idiocy.
