OMG. The Dark Knight Rises. Clearly the inferior movie of the three, and yet it's the one that makes me want to write so much fanfic right now. SO MUCH.

Pretty much this movie can be summed up as thus: Joseph Gordon Levitt, how the hell did you steal this movie from everyone else and can I have your babies?

Okay, so I kept wondering if I'd misheard and Blake was supposed to be Drake, but either way, the fact that they just smashed all the Robins together into one awesome guy and said "And he shall be Robin" and then they let JGL steal the whole movie FROM EVERYONE INCLUDING GARY FUCKING OLDMAN.

Ack!!!! I want all the fic! Where he becomes either Nightwing or Batman in Bruce's stead. Where Babs comes back to town in a forgiving mood with her dad and becomes a cop and there's conflict with the former cop that her dad mentored. Cause you know, Babs belongs with any Robin in my book.

Also, that Ms. Tate/Talia thing was kind of freaking obvious, just like Robin was obvious, but it was still a cool thing. And and and, Bane was awesome, except it was like a battle of the ridiculous voices. Bale's stuffed up nose and Hardy's manic professor.

And Selina! Anne Hathaway wasn't Michelle Pheifer, but hey, not everyone can be that fab. But damn, she was still freaking awesome and you have to admit, her heels made up for a lack of awesome costume.

I had moments of amusement, from "Hey, Bane's sidekick is JJ's (Criminal Minds) hubby" to "The Asian cop from Grimm really can't get away from playing a cop, can he?" to "OMG Teal'c, why are you beating up on Robin?"

It was weird seeing Batman fighting during the day, though. And this one was way choppier, because they inserted random Bruce existential exposition in the midst of everything by way of Alfred's speeches.

That end, though. THAT END. Wayne Manor as an orphanage. Bruce and Selina in...was it Spain? Wherever Alfred wanted Bruce to be. And Robin/Blake discovering the Batcave. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!

I HAVE ALL THE FEELS FOR THIS MOVIE!!!! And Joseph Gordon Levitt. I still want to know how he stole Jim Gordon's awesomeness, though.

Also, they showed the Superman: Man of Steel trailer. Pardon my flailing over that one. It was weird, because they did some Wolverine shit to Clark Kent (I don't know, but he was hot and manly, but sadly without the glasses). And then there was Papa Kent giving a speech to a child Clark and then Superman flew into the atmosphere and there was a sonic boom and my heart may have exploded a little in glee.

DC Comics has my heart over Marvel. My imagination can fill in the characters and their heart plenty well. I like the world built in DC a bit better with Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman. Their humanness, despite being superheroes, is more awesome.
